STARTING THE ADVENTURE

Hello family and friends! Well, as most of you know, we have a lot of exciting things in our past, present and future and, as we are all becoming more ciber savy, we think a blog is the best way to keep you all in the loop!
Hola familia y amigos!! Lo primero de todo, perdón por la tardanza en la traducción. Con todas las cosas que estamos haciendo últimamente y lo que tenemos previsto hacer, hemos pensado que la mejor manera de manteneros al corriente de por dónde andamos y lo que hacemos es un blog!



Our exciting PAST: Aug 17th we got married. Again. Number 3. Like they say, third times a charm, right? Well, it was. It was a BEAUTIFUL day. We were blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends that made the day very special and something that we will always remember and cherish.
Nuestro emocionante PASADO: el 17 de Agosto nos casamos. Otra vez. La número 3. No hay dos sin tres, eh? Para nosotros fue un día PRECIOSO. Nos sentimos muy agraciados por haber estado rodeados de una familia y amigos maravillosos que hicieron el día tan especial y que es algo que siempre recordaremos con mucho cariño.




Then came our group honeymoon! I would TOTALLY recommend this to all you newlyweds-to-be. You have the rest of your life to spend together,why not celebrate this with all your family and friends? Anyway, we spent 6 days in Yellowstone and the surrounding area with 23 of our closest family and friends.I think it was a vacation of a lifetime for many, Toño and I included.
Luego vino la luna de miel en grupo! Recomendamos la experiencia para todos los que se vayan a casar. Tenemos toda la vida por delante para pasarla juntos, así que por qué no celebrar esto con la familia y los amigos? Estuvimos 6 días en Yellowstone y alrededores con 23 entre familia y amigos. Creemos que fueron las "vacaciones de tu vida" para unos cuantos, Laura y yo incluidos.

Our exciting PRESENT:  We are planning our WORLD TRIP (honeymoon without 23 of our closest family and friends). We still have not got our tickets but, as I type, Toño is searching and pounding his fist on the table once in a while. (I guess a little more expensive than he would like). Tickets aren't the only things we need but at least it was entertaining buying the other stuff. :)
Nuestro PRESENTE emocionante: estamos preparando nuestro VIAJE ALREDEDOR DEL MUNDO, lo que viene a ser nuestra luna de miel sin 23 familiares y amigos. Todavía no tenemos los billetes, pero ya vamos probando cosillas que nos pueden venir bien durante el viaje. En la foto siguiente me veis a mí probando el saco de dormir que, sin duda, utilizaremos más de una noche.

Our FUTURE: Well, needless to say, our trip is taking up most of our future thoughts. To give you all a general idea we are going to spend 2 months in Europe. We want to see Italy, Greece, Turkey, Czech Republic and Ireland for sure. And wherever else pops up in between is fine too. Then, mid November, we will be off to Asia. We have friends in the Philippines and China and since we are there, why not Taiwan and Japan? That brings us to Dec and Christmas. We plan to see Toño's family and spend some days with friends and family there. In early January we expect to return to the states and spend a few days to plan part 2 of the trip. (South America and Africa).
Nuestro FUTURO: Bueno, no hace falta decir que el viaje se está llevando gran parte de nuestro tiempo en cuanto a planes de futuro. Para que tengáis una idea general, en principio vamos a pasar 2 meses en Europa. Nos gustaría ver seguro Italia, Grecia, Turquía, República Checa e Irlanda. Y cualquier otro sitio que se nos cruce en el camino también nos vendrá bien. Luego a mediados de Noviembre iremos a Asia. Tenemos amigos en Filipinas y China y, ya que vamos a estar por allí, por qué no Taiwan y Japón? Con esto, seguramente nos pondremos en Diciembre y Navidad. Tenemos pensado ver a mi familia y estar unos días con la familia y los amigos por allí. A primeros de Enero volveremos a USA para estar unos días planificando la parte 2 del viaje: Sudamérica y África.

As you see, our idea is pretty vague. We have no set dates, no hotel reservations, nothing concrete. Just two backpacks, two passports, some quick-dry underwear and each other. I don't know about you, but to me it sounds like an adventure waiting to happen. I hope, through this blog, you will join us along our way. We promise you won't regret it!
Como podéis ver, la idea que tenemos es un poco vaga. No hemos fijado fechas, ni reservas de hotel... nada concreto. Solo un par de mochilas, dos pasaportes, algo de ropa interior de secado rápido y el uno al otro. No sé a vosotros, pero a nosotros nos suena como a un poco de aventura. Esperamos que, a través de este blog, os unáis a nosotros a lo largo de nuestro camino. Os prometemos que no os arrepentiréis!!
